Steeler Bear's Mommy

Yep, that's me!  :)

My name is Liz, and I'm a 30-year-old Pittsburgh . I relocated here in the spring of 2011 from--wait for it--Baltimore, Maryland. .  I went to Baldwin-Wallace College (vocal music major; business minor) in Cleveland, Ohio, where I joined Phi Mu (ΦM) Fraternity for women.  Despite my hometown and college town (side note: the Browns' training ground used to be on my college campus; now it's a two-minute walk off campus), I'm a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and proud mommy of the original, one-and-only (at least to my knowledge) Steeler Bear. I'm dating a wonderful man named Rob, and Steeler Bear is completely excited about having a new daddy! :)

In addition to cheering on the Steelers, I'm currently working as a pharmacy technician in the city. While I lived in Baltimore, I sang with the Baltimore Choral Arts Society and worked at my church. I love classic movies, Audrey Hepburn, animals, jazz (particularly Frank Sinatra), and arts and crafts (mostly knitting).

On a totally random note: I redecorated my bedroom in Baltimore about two years ago!  I was sick of green walls, so they've gone yellow.  Steeler Bear yellow, of course, and with black and white accents.  Here are some accessories I've made...

Steeler Bear Bank!  He'll help pay for the annual home game road trip.

Steelers mosaic clock. It took a while to find a piece of wood in the hypocycloid shape, but I finally did it!

Terrible Tissue box!  How could I not? A Terrible Treats container (for my future dog's treats, mostly, but right now it's holding Reese's Pieces) has also been made, but I'm too lazy to take a picture of it. :)
